Biography
"Life is short. The goal is not to live forever. The goal is to create something that will."
Ever since I was a child I’ve always loved expressing my artistic side through the medium of painting and drawing. I have my grandmother Patricia to thank who nurtured my talent, ever since I could pick up a pencil. I first began drawing detailed portraits for friends and family all the way through my school years and some of my adult life. I began creating single line drawing whilst I was experimenting with different techniques and that is how I discovered my talent for the technique.
Throughout my life and career I have always been driven with enthusiasm and creativity to excel in anthing I put my mind to. Whenever I have an idea or begin drafting designs the creativity and my electric enthusiasm begin to flow and my visions grow into reality. I use a variety of techniques and mediums to create my work which I have practised extensively over time to perfect. Over the years I have gained numerous skills and knowledge which benefit the directions and capabilities of the work I can create. This allows me to expand my ideas across the spectrum of mediums with everything from paintings to sculptures. I possess all the relevant skills and knowledge needed, with a desire to learn more each day to perfect and acquire new techniques.
My first collection was the Diamond Series, which I began in May 2019, based on iconic celebrity portraits and I portray the life and death of them with a single line. I began with 4 initial designs in this collection and I have since added 3 more wonderful icons to the collection. The first 4 edition pieces are displayed in my hometown of Gorleston at the Cliff Hotel in the Muse Restaurant.
At the beginning of 2020, I secured my very first gallery for hosting my own professional solo exhibition in Chelsea (South West London) at 508 Gallery on Kings Road. When lockdown hit across the UK, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was in force from March causing disruption across the country, I pushed through the hardships and made excellent use of the time in my studio. I created 4 exciting new collections: Toxic Pleasures, Complex Cognition, Black Lives Matter and Perception of Vanity. Through meticulous planning, and secrecy with bare minimal teasers shown on social media, the new collections were developed, designed and created over the period of 6 months in time for my very first professional exhibition.
My first ever solo art exhibition debuted in September 2020 and was an incredible start to my career as a professional artist. Looking towards the future, I’m excited about accomplishing all my professional goals and facing all the challenges 2021 has in store for me head on.
